About Brian

Brian Chenier Life Coaching was established to help others in all aspects of their lives, from work to personal relationships.  By offering a truly client focused approach and working with the Human Givens, I can help you  "Unlock your true potential"

Brian Chenier, Dip(life coach), Assoc CIPD, LCGI.

I am committed to the development of Life Coaching and the promotion of the Human Givens approach.  With experience in the field of coaching in various roles for over 20 years, I have an acute understanding of the 'individual'.  Because of this I can truly guarantee an individually tailored coaching experience.

I have spent the last eight years working to rehabilitate military offenders from the British Armed Forces.  I have designed and delivered bespoke listening skills training for custody staff and Inter Personal Skills training in line with Home Office Prison Officer Entry Level Training (POELT) which meets National Occupational Standards (NOS) for custody and approved by Skills for Justice.  I continue to conduct regular stress management/coaching sessions with the detainees.  In addition, I continue to deliver Stress Management tuition to students preparing for exams.

I also offer Stress Management coaching for individuals and groups as well as a range of Listening Skills workshops and bespoke training and development for all, following a detailed training needs analysis.

I have trained in Person Centred Counselling techniques, Listening Skills, The Human Givens and NLP.  I am a qualified Life Coach Practitioner and hold Licentiateship in Leadership and Management with the City & Guilds Institute of London (LCGI) and I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).  I have also been trained as a volunteer community worker with Victim Support as well as a consultant trainer delivering bespoke training and workshops to various colleges and organisations. I am also listed on the International Coaching Register and an associate member of The European Coaching Institute.

In 2008, Brian became involved with Families Activity Breaks 'For bereaved military families'.  Families’ Activity Breaks (FAB) is a non-public funded, tri Service initiative in partnership with YHA (England & Wales) Ltd., providing fun and challenging activity holidays around the UK for bereaved Military families.

If a child is aged up to 19 years old and has suffered the loss of a loved one who was serving in the Armed Forces, then you may be eligible for a FAB holiday. The holidays offer an adventure for all the family and a welcome break to meet and socialise with others who have experienced a similar loss. A loved one can mean a parent, a step parent, or a child’s legal guardian, carer or sibling.

FAB was originally conceived in early 2008, and run as a highly successful pilot in the summer of 2009 where 24 families attended at two locations, Coverack in Cornwall and Whitby in North Yorkshire. In 2010 we increased this to 50 families and it is our intention to further increase this to 60 families throughout 2011.  For more information about FAB visit the FAB website by following this link fabcamps.org.uk
